Josiah Askew Chalk

Josiah Askew was born in 1825 in Maury, Tennessee, USA. Josiah Askew's father was William Chalk and his mother was Elizabeth Williams. His paternal grandparents were William Chalk and Peggy Askew. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named Whitfield, Henry A, William Roscoe, Thomas Anderson, Ira Ellis, John Wesley, James Anderson, Newton F, Mary Ann, Martha A, Nancy, Sarah Ann and Catherine Jane. He was the nineth oldest of the fourteen children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Nepolian B, Stephen G, Luther B, Coley M, Louisa, Susan E and Josephine. He died at the age of 39 in 1864 in Brenham, Washington, Texas, USA.
